What it does
sync. is an AI lip sync product from Sync Labs. Given a video of a person speaking and an audio track, it generates a new video in which the speaker's lip movements match that audio. Inputs include MP4 video and WAV or MP3 audio, supplied by public URL, direct upload, or asset ID.
Typical uses are video dubbing and localization, personalized video messages, e-learning updates, and post-production for film, games, and animation. Work happens in the browser Studio or through a REST API with Python and TypeScript SDKs. Several models (lipsync-1.9, lipsync-2, lipsync-2-pro, react-1, sync-3) trade quality against speed. Batch processing and webhooks support larger jobs.
Access is via the web Studio and API, with an API key created from the dashboard. Billing is usage based, per second of video, with subscription tiers adding longer videos, concurrency, and seats. A free trial offers 3 shared generations per month capped at 15 seconds, and lower tiers add a watermark.
What it can do
- Lip sync generation that matches lip movements in a video to a supplied audio track
- Multiple models (lipsync-1.9, lipsync-2, lipsync-2-pro, react-1, sync-3) with different quality and speed tradeoffs
- Dubbing into 29 languages, or lip sync with user-provided translated audio
- Text-to-speech and custom voice cloning via partner integrations or own TTS API key
- Batch processing of up to 500 generations per batch on Scale-tier plans
- Webhooks for async status notifications and a cost estimation endpoint
Works with
- Adobe Premiere plugin
- DaVinci Resolve plugin
- ComfyUI node
- ElevenLabs (named as a TTS service that can be combined with the API)
Before you choose
- Pricing is per second of video and varies by model (for example sync-3 at $0.1334/sec at 25 fps on base rates); use the cost estimation endpoint before submitting
- Lower tiers include a watermark; Creator and above list no watermark
- Updated dubbing rates are rolling out, and the current rate applies until a subscription's scheduled switch at renewal

Get started
A free trial of 3 shared generations per month (max 15 seconds each) requires no credit card.
- Create an account at sync.so and get an API key from the Dashboard
- Install the SDK: pip install syncsdk (Python 3.8+) or npm i @sync.so/sdk (TypeScript/Node.js 18+)
- Follow the Quickstart to submit a first generation and check status via polling or webhooks
Plans and prices
Prices in USDRates are per second of video at 25 fps for lipsync models; dubbing is billed per second rounded up and is separate from lipsync. A free trial of 3 shared generations per month (max 15 seconds) is a time-limited allowance, not a permanent free tier. Higher tiers get up to 20% discount on usage. Refunds and cancellation are covered in the FAQ.
