What it does
Tana is an agentic meeting platform for calls on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, as well as calls hosted inside Tana. It captures a call from the user's own computer without a bot joining as a participant, then produces artifacts such as Linear or Jira issues, follow-up email drafts, HubSpot CRM updates, and decisions logged with owners. Everything from calls feeds a shared knowledge graph that the team can query for what was decided, by whom, and why.
People use Tana mainly during and right after meetings: product and engineering teams file issues and specs from standups, consultants update client briefs, and sales and customer success teams draft recaps and update CRM fields before the call ends. Proposed actions are shown to a person to accept, edit, or dismiss rather than being sent automatically. Tana is separate from the Tana Outliner note-taking product.
Tana suits AI-native teams whose meetings produce tracker, CRM, and email work. The desktop app is the entry point for capturing calls, and a free 30-day trial requires no credit card. Some integrations, including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, are listed as coming soon, and free-plan usage is capped at 50 AI queries and 5 hosted meetings per month.
What it can do
- Captures calls on Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet from the user's machine without a meeting bot joining as a participant
- Proposes Linear or Jira issues, GitHub issues, and follow-up email drafts from meeting discussion for the user to accept or edit
- Updates HubSpot deal notes and logs decisions with owners from calls
- Answers questions across all meetings through a shared knowledge graph
- Provides an MCP server and public API so tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor can read meeting context
- Supports SSO, audit logs, and admin controls on higher tiers
Works with
- GitHub
- Slack
- HubSpot
- Linear
- Jira
- Lovable
- Google Calendar
- Outlook
- Claude Code
- Codex
Example workflows
- Bug from a customer call
- Input: a call where customers report transcript gaps. Steps: Tana captures the call, proposes a Linear issue with repro steps and a screenshot, and the user accepts it. Output: a filed Linear issue with the session reference.
- Recap and CRM update after a sales call
- Input: a discovery call with a prospect. Steps: Tana drafts a follow-up email and proposes HubSpot field updates, and the user reviews them. Output: a draft email ready to send and updated deal fields.
Before you choose
- Captures run on your computer, so the desktop app must be installed for calls outside a Tana-hosted meeting.
- Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 integrations are marked as coming soon.
- Free tier limits AI queries and hosted meetings, and higher tiers add AI capacity and enterprise controls.
