What it does

Zscaler AI Security is an enterprise security product that sits inline across AI workflows, protecting users, devices, and APIs in real time. It discovers AI assets such as models, agents, MCP servers, and shadow AI, and traces data-to-AI lineage across 2,900+ apps in one unified view.

Security and IT teams use it to control who can use AI and how. Capabilities include blocking AI access by role, filtering sensitive data sent to LLMs, governing agent-to-agent traffic, and routing AI transactions through a central control plane with inline DLP and Zero Trust policies. It also tests AI systems against 5,000+ attack scenarios across text, image, voice, and documents, mapped to MITRE ATLAS, NIST, and the EU AI Act, and extends to endpoint AI threats in browsers, extensions, and plugins.

It fits enterprises already running or evaluating Zscaler's zero trust platform. The vendor directs buyers to request a demo, and AI Security does not appear as a priced item on the public pricing page, so buyers should confirm licensing and deployment requirements with Zscaler.

What it can do

  • Auto-discover AI assets including models, agents, MCP servers, and shadow AI
  • Control AI access by role in real time and filter sensitive data sent to LLMs
  • Run automated attack-scenario testing of AI systems mapped to MITRE ATLAS, NIST, and EU AI Act
  • Apply inline DLP and Zero Trust policy to model, agent, and API calls
  • Secure agent-to-agent communications through MCP and A2A brokers
  • Detect AI threats in employee browsers, extensions, and plugins

Works with

  • SIEM/SOAR log streaming (listed under the Zscaler Internet Access bundle, not confirmed as AI Security-specific)

Before you choose

  • Pricing and standalone availability for AI Security are not published; confirm licensing with Zscaler.
