What it does

FFRCT Analysis takes a coronary CT angiography (CCTA) scan and produces a patient-specific, interactive 3D reconstruction of the coronary arteries. Using computational fluid dynamics and deep learning, it combines anatomical information with lesion-specific physiology, with FFRCT values specified distal to modeled stenoses greater than 30%.

Clinicians can assess blood flow anywhere in the coronary tree with color-coded values, place pins along the tree, and evaluate multiple or sequential lesions to determine which carries the most significant disease for a targeted interventional approach. It is one module of the Heartflow One platform, whose results are delivered into PACS and EMR systems.

The product suits cardiology and cardiac CT teams evaluating coronary artery disease who want lesion-specific physiology from a CCTA scan rather than an invasive procedure first. Heartflow reports a median turnaround of 90 minutes on the platform. It depends on a CCTA scan as input, and pricing is arranged through Heartflow.

What it can do

  • Computes non-invasive FFRCT values from CCTA scans using computational fluid dynamics and deep learning
  • Provides patient-specific, interactive 3D anatomical and physiological reconstruction of the coronary tree
  • Assesses blood flow anywhere in the coronary tree with color-coded values
  • Evaluates multiple and sequential lesions to identify the most significant disease
  • Allows pins to be placed anywhere along the coronary tree

Works with

  • PACS
  • EMR

Before you choose

  • Requires a CCTA scan as the source input.
  • Performance figures (such as 0.94 AUC and the 78% and 69% differences) are reported by the vendor and should be reviewed against the cited studies.
  • Receiving results in the clinical workflow depends on PACS and EMR integration at the institution.
