What it does

Granola captures audio from your computer or phone during meetings and combines it with whatever notes you type. It then produces structured meeting notes with summaries, action items and next steps. It also offers chat across your meetings, follow-up email drafts, and pre-meeting briefs that draw on your calendar and past conversations.

People run Granola in the background while a call or in-person conversation is under way, jotting as much or as little as they like and letting it fill in the rest. Because it uses device audio rather than joining as a participant, no bot appears in the meeting. It works alongside Zoom, Meet, Teams and other apps, and an MCP connector lets other AI apps read your meeting notes.

It suits people with many meetings, such as sales, product, customer success and leadership roles, plus teams wanting shared folders and admin controls. The free Basic plan includes AI notes but limits meeting history to 30 days; paid plans remove that limit. It is available on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android. Notes are generated from audio capture, so transcript accuracy depends on audio quality, and consent practices for recording remain your responsibility.

What it can do

  • Bot-free meeting transcription using device audio
  • AI-enhanced notes combining typed notes with transcript
  • Pre-meeting briefs synced from your calendar
  • AI chat within and across meetings
  • Follow-up emails, action lists and custom note templates
  • MCP connector exposing meeting notes to other AI apps

Works with

  • Zoom
  • Google Meet
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Slack
  • Notion
  • HubSpot
  • Attio
  • Affinity
  • Zapier
  • Salesforce

Example workflows

Prepare, capture and follow up on a client call
Inputs: calendar event, your typed notes, call audio. Steps: review the pre-meeting Brief, run Granola during the call while jotting key points, then generate enhanced notes. Output: structured notes, action items and a draft follow-up email.
Review commitments across the week
Inputs: a week of captured meetings. Steps: open Granola Chat and ask what you promised to do in your meetings this week. Output: a list of commitments drawn from your meeting notes.

Before you choose

  • Basic plan shows only 30 days of meeting history; older notes need a paid plan
  • Pre-meeting briefs are not included on Basic per the plan comparison
  • Recording consent for other participants is your responsibility; the Enterprise organization-wide notification option is a pilot. SSO requires an Enterprise workspace with at least 50 users.
