What it does

Kombai takes a design brief, an existing codebase, a Figma file, or a Storybook as input and produces standalone designs on an infinite canvas in Design mode, or production-ready frontend code inside your repository in Code mode. A taste agent makes design decisions for each task, while context tools reuse components, tokens, and hooks from your repo, npm packages, or Storybook.

People use Kombai to explore layouts on a canvas, refine them in an editable browser, and then implement the chosen design in code. It is available as a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux and as an extension for VS Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Trae, and Kiro. It also offers access to 50+ models and an automatic model router.
