- Tool type
- AI debugging agent inside Sentry
- Made for
- Developers and engineering teams on paid Sentry plans
- Runs on
- Sentry web interface, Slack, and connected AI coding tools
- Accessed through the Sentry UI, Slack, and MCP connections to Claude, Cursor, or Copilot.
What it does
Seer takes in the telemetry Sentry already collects from your application, including errors, stack traces, traces, and logs, and produces root-cause analysis, suggested code fixes, and pull request reviews. You can also describe a problem in plain language and Seer Agent will pull relevant production signals to answer it.
In practice, Seer runs automatically when a new issue arrives, so a fix pull request may be waiting when you start work. Teams can also ask Seer questions directly, send fixes to Claude, Copilot, or Cursor, or start an incident investigation in Slack. Its distinguishing feature is that PR reviews are checked against production data Sentry has already seen.
Seer suits development teams already using Sentry on a paid Team, Business, or Enterprise plan. It requires enabling generative AI features in the Sentry interface, and billing is per active contributor, meaning people who commit two or more PRs in a connected repository. Its output is generated by AI, so fixes still need developer review, and it is not available on the free Developer plan.

Before you choose
- Billing is per active contributor at $40/month, where an active contributor commits two or more PRs in a connected repo, so cost scales with team activity.
- Seer's fixes and reviews are AI-generated and should be checked by a developer before merging.
- Generative AI features can be turned off in Settings → Organization → General Settings if your team does not want them.
