What it does

Picsart's creative APIs accept images or videos and return edited media files, with operations such as background removal, upscaling, enhancement, effects, and generative AI edits. The Photo and Video Editor SDK embeds a full web editor in an application so end users can edit and export media directly, and the company also offers desktop, CLI, and no-code connections.

Developers can call the APIs one request at a time or in batches from frontend or backend code, while the SDK gives end users a graphical editor with export. Each API call and SDK export consumes credits at endpoint-specific rates, and preview calls are not charged. Picsart also describes an AI Hub for trying several generative models through one setup.

The APIs suit developers building editing into their own products, and the SDK suits businesses giving customers an editor. Access requires a Picsart console account and purchased credits. Not all APIs are available inside the Editor SDK, and enterprise options such as white-labelling are arranged through sales.
