What it does
PowerScribe One is a radiology reporting application from Microsoft. Radiologists dictate or enter findings, and the software returns structured report text. It can draft an impression and recommendation in the radiologist's own voice, flag sex and laterality mismatches and possible critical findings, and show a checklist of alerts. Follow-up recommendations can be sent to EMR and other systems, and integrated AI services can add findings to reports.
Radiologists reach it from a desktop client icon, or in some sites through their PACS integration, and sign in with credentials issued by an administrator. Cloud speech replaces individual speech-profile training, and ambient mode helps turn free-form dictation into organized, structured text. A translucent heads-up window keeps key information over the images. AI services connect through Microsoft's Precision Imaging Network, and the vendor describes it as part of a wider radiology platform.
It suits hospitals and radiology groups that manage reporting centrally through an IT-administered deployment. Individual sign-up does not appear to be offered, and no pricing is published. The release notes show a Windows client requiring Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later, with PACS integrations that vary by site. Smart Impression is limited to original reports, not addenda. Microsoft also announced a new Dragon Copilot experience for radiologists, so how the product evolves is worth confirming.
