Sweep

What it does

Sweep is an AI coding assistant for JetBrains IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, GoLand, and Rider. It supports autocomplete, chat about your code, and suggested changes that can be applied directly to your project.

A typical session opens chat with Ctrl+J, optionally starting from selected code, adds other files with @filename, and applies suggested changes with the Apply button. Sweep also offers a Privacy Mode, described as ensuring code is never trained on. Next-edit autocomplete is also available for VS Code and Zed.

It suits developers who work in JetBrains IDEs and want chat and autocomplete inside the editor. The plugin is installed from the JetBrains Marketplace. A free trial includes 1,000 autocompletes and $5 in API credits, while AI features such as chat and code generation consume API credits.
