Dex Autonomous IT Engineer

What it does

Dex is SysAid's autonomous IT engineer, an AI agent that resolves IT requests itself instead of only suggesting answers. It investigates an issue, plans the steps and executes them in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and other connected systems, working inside policies the customer defines.

Employees can ask Dex in their own words in Teams, Slack or Google Chat, while technicians use a Dex Pro console to run repeatable work from a single prompt. Typical work includes password resets, access changes, onboarding, offboarding and device fixes through Intune or another MDM. Dex runs on top of an existing ITSM, which stays the system of record, and writes what it did back to the ticket.

Governance is built around a policy engine where no matching policy means no action, delegated permissions rather than shared API keys, verified outcomes and an Activity Log. It suits lean IT teams, technicians handling repetitive tier-one work, and IT leaders who need auditable automation without replacing their current service desk.
